Hurricane Irene and the aftermath…

Dear HTS Community:

Hurricane Irene has come and gone and I hope this blog posting finds you and your family safe at home.  Power has already been restored to HTS and our Building and Grounds crew is working hard to clean up all Irene-related debris and put the finishing touches on our building.  School opens in one week!  (side note: if you have not yet done so, please finish all your summer reading…and practice your math using sundry websites; all links can be found on the HTS website www.hardingtwp.org)  Other than some initial power outages, some small branches down and a few damaged ceiling tiles, HTS fared remarkably well during the storm and it’s aftermath and we will be ready for our students next Tuesday.

The PTO’s Annual Ice Cream Social, originally scheduled for this afternoon, has been postponed; a new day/time will be announced shortly.  All incoming Kindergarten students and students new to HTS are invited.  Our staff returns on Wednesday for two days of Professional Development Activities and I look forward to meeting with them.

Sincerely,

Alex Anemone
