Return from Snowtober…

Dear HTS Community:

This past week was a hectic week for all of us here at HTS and, although some are still without power, we are glad that the worst is behind us.  The decision to open school today was made in the early morning when power was restored to our campus and I thought it was in the best interests of our students to open school and enjoy a renewed sense of normalcy.  When you have a moment, consider logging back in to Honeywell and, if necessary, update your contact information.  Please note that you can list both home and cell phones numbers to receive Honeywell Instant Alerts.  This provides a “backup” that will protect you in the event of future power outages.

Our staff is aware of the difficulty of living without power and they are making the appropriate accommodations with regard to homework, tests, projects, etc.  Once again, thank you for all your help and support during this demanding time.  Some dates to remember for the next few weeks:

Friday, 11/4 – Open House Tours 8:30-10:00.  This is an opportunity for Harding residents with students currently enrolled in a non-public school to come in and take a tour of our campus.  Please encourage your friends and neighbors to attend; no appointment is necessary.

Tuesday, 11/8 – Budget Brown Bag Lunch with Dr. Anemone 12:00-1:00 in the Library/Media Center.  Come in, eat lunch and participate in 2012-13 Budget discussions.  This is a BYOL event.

Friday, 11/18 – 1:1 Committee Meeting 8:30-9:30.  A sales representative from Apple will be here to wow us with different product lines.  Before you come in, please do your homework.

Friday, 11/18 – PTO Meeting 9:30-10:30. After the 1:1 Meeting, please consider staying for the monthly PTO Meeting.

And lastly, save the date. Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 is the annual PTO Holiday Bazaar.  More information will follow.

Sincerely,

Alex Anemone
