Dear HTS Community:
I have been a student at the Harding Township School since Kindergarten. Now that I’m in the eighth grade, when I look back on my experience, I realize that the Harding Township School means so many different things to me. It is a place where I have learned not only traditional school subjects, but it has also prepared me for things that go beyond what is found in a textbook. The Harding Township School is the place where I have learned how to develop relationships, my likes and talents, and the importance of giving back to my community.
To begin with, our school is a place that has helped me establish new friendships. When I began kindergarten I didn’t know most of the students in my class. But now, nine years later, many of these people are still some of my closest friends. The Harding Township School’s close-knit community helped me form and build these bonds. Secondly, our school is a place to discover your likes and talents. Whether you are fascinated with sports, music, art, science, or drama, there is a club or activity for you. One of my main interests is sports. Through our sports programs, I have learned leadership skills, commitment, and what it’s like to be part of a team. These are things I can apply to my life on and off the sports fields. Finally, the Harding Township School is a place that gives back to our community and society. We are taught the importance of helping others through our Service Learning Program and are taught the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful school environment through our Ambassador of Kindness Program. With these programs, we learn to appreciate how fortunate we are to grow up in the secure Harding Township School community.
In conclusion, the Harding Township School means many things to me. It is a place where we foster relationships, discover our talents, and a place for learning in comfort and safety. Growing up in this setting helps develop confident students, ready to take their skills and knowledge to the next level. I know I am prepared for whatever the future holds.
