Dear HTS Community:
On Wednesday, January 7, the PTO voted – unanimously – to fund new audio-visual upgrades for our students and staff. These systems (sound and lighting) will be used for plays and concerts and cost approximately $25,000! As always, we appreciate the unwavering support of the PTO and its membership. Donations such as these allow our school to provide that something extra special for our children. We look forward to using these systems at future events. Please note, this grant is in addition to 2014-2015 PTO grants such as Smartboard replacement ($30,000), Battle of the Books ($5,000), Creative Coders ($4,000) and various software applications and subscriptions such as Brain Pop and Scholastic Scope magazine ($7,000).
Please save the date: Monday, February 23, at the Harding Township School Board of Education meeting, I will be presenting my second annual State of the Schools Address. The meeting will be held in the HTS Library/Media Center and will begin at 7:30pm. We hope to see you there.
